    When the levee breaks...

    This is a view of the Meramec river near Manchester and Valley Park, Mo. Earlier in the day the levee road around an old, empty quarry had broken. This is the result. The quarry is further away, beyond the tree stand.

    I was standing on a bluff overlooking the flood.
