    ...heaviest snowfall in Paris since 1987

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     CNN can confirm that multiple local news sources there are reporting the snowfall to be enough to be the heaviest since 1987.

    Paris...Place de La Bastille....in front of the Opera....beginning at about noon 3-4 inches of snow fell today...not much compared to what other regions of France might receive during the year, but record-breaking for Paris...Airports are experiencing long delays (some cancellations) as well as major highways being backed-up.

         Roads and streets in the city were icy making motorcycle driving and even walking hazardous..in some cases impossible.
