We've all been waiting for this day! Finally :')

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Ahbarijiet says she plans to use the surprise day off to finish homework and build a snowman with her sister.

When it snows in Luxembourg, things move on fairly normal.

Although when it snows in the afternoon, when everybody wants to get back home from work/school...Luxembourg turns into a mess, and you can get QUITE unlucky! Either it takes you an extra 2hrs to get home or even 6, OR you may even end up sleeping in the streets (not really people go to friends' houses if they have any in town or go to a hotel - since everything in Lux is in town). When it snows in Luxembourg people are quite scared to drive, and even the buses - to make everything even worst, they decide not to operate anymore.

Well, this morning, I was rushing my breakfast to make it on time for the bus. As I was just about to leave I receive a text from one of my friends saying; "There's no school today!" My heart stopped - I couldn't believe it!

2mins later everybody was on facebook questioning and confirming.

    Luxembourgish students created this page:

Schoulfräi (wéinst Schnéi) den 9.12.10 an ech war dobäi :) (School's out....I was there) http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/event.php?eid=153609808018046
and a guy in my class created this event: BIGGEST SNOWMAN EVER http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/event.php?eid=183496291666102

Our school is one of those that no matter, really NO MATTER what happens...it'll still be open, standing there!

Apparently our school did open though (bet you it's the only one), and some people did go to school, since probably they leave home early. But there are no teachers, and they decided to just study

This for us, is A DAY TO REMEMBER!!!!

One of my friends said, " it took 13 years!! it feels like we've overturned a government or something!!" - facebook

Actually I've been wishing for this day so much!

Yesterday I was walking with a friend to the library, and I was complaining and nearly crying because of all the pending school work I have.
And I said to her, 'look I'm going to stop walking and the world will stop until I get to finish all my work.'
I stopped walking (I kinda psyched out) & she looked at me puzzled.
& I was like 'OH what the heck, I just wish!'
    and look today....
    GLORY GLORY HALLELUIA
    I have tears of JOY!!!!
    I LOVE YOU SNOW
(now I'm off to finish my work)  :)
