This iReport is part of an assignment:
Did you feel the quake? |
Rock N' Roll
I work on the 46th floor of a Downtown Los Angeles high-rise. Downtown is approximately 29 miles from the quake's epicenter. The building I am in is built on "rollers" to allow the building to move with the flow of an earthquake. Let me tell you, this place was rockin' n'rollin'!!! Obviously, the higher up you are, the more you feel it and boy did we feel it. First it felt like something really big "pushed" the building. Then the rolling started. We all hid under our desks and as I hid, I called my daughter and husband to check on them. No major damage here, just small stuff, but lots of frazzled nerves!
