Did you feel the quake? |
I was outside
I was in Calabasas, CA sitting poolside at my daughter's swimming lesson. I didn't realize it was an earthquake at first because I was looking down while I was writing on a piece of paper. It felt like someone was jumping up and down on my bench. When I looked up and realized it was an earthquake, the lifeguards were yelling "Earthquake!" and making sure the kids and everyone around were safe. I was sure happy we were outside where it was safe, rather than inside. To me it didn't feel like a 5.4, it felt much smaller. Maybe because we were outside and couldn't hear or see as many things shaking. When I got home, all my kitchen cabinets were open and a few things had fallen over.
