Are you on the 'No-Fly' list? |
Friend in need is a friend indeed
The American President calls Pakistan a "Friend" an "Important Allay in War against Terrorism", the US Government expect Pakistan to fight their self proclaimed war on Terrorism with Talibans. It requires the Pakistani Prime Minister to commit more forces to the trible area and a strong promise that it will do everything in its power to control terrorism and capture " America's Most Wanted Terrorists". On the flip side President Bush invited Pakistani Prime Minister to USA so he can take few more promises before he leaves office.
All Pakistani local newspapers have reported that Prime Minister of Pakistan Youaf Raza Gallani was on the official visit to USA when he and his cabinet minister were held for 6 hours on Heathrew Airport London because the clearence was not provided. The British Immigration told him that he can stay in the hotel till the permission is granted by Homeland security department for him to fly.
Yesterday When he arrived at Andewson Air Force Base... There was not protocol, No Pressident Bush, No Cabinet member, No red carpet, no flowers, no Gaurd of Honor was presented to the guests. In fact only he was allowed out of Pakistan Airforce ONE with his wife and forced to walk for 500 feets to get his Immigration done. All his Minister were left in the plane. There was only one immigration officer available to help 48 member delegation which took 8 hours and finally were given granted permission to start the official visit.
What a way to welcome a friend and show American hospitality and prove Americans are True friends of Pakistan. I think he will remember this protocol and on his return definately fight for American interests...don't you think? Shame on Bush and Shame for America...
