    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     carmenc says he spent $25,000 on landscaping in March and was frantic to keep his plants from freezing. 'I had to act quickly and grab whatever I had,' he said. He plans to re-cover them tonight. 'It's going to be 32 tonight!'

    I had to cover my plants with whatever I could find including clothing when a 30 degree overnight low hit Sarasota.   Some of the plants did well but others died.
