Wintry weather near you |
No plows in sight on Jersey Shore...we got 29" plus 6 foot drifts!
Our house is about 2000 feet from the ocean and we got about 29 inches, but there are 6 foot drifts all over the streets around our house...and NO PLOWS are in sight for Ocean Grove, NJ, a part of the township of Neptune. Cars are swallowed by the snow. The city's website (http://www.neptunetownship.org/page.php?permalink=home) says almost 1/2 of their 22 plows BROKE DOWN yesterday. We doubt they will make their promise to be 'all plowed' by tonight. All this for a mere $15g in property taxes a year! The neighboring town to the south, which we can see from our windows, is plowed. Pretty frustrating!
