circa 1750 Log & Stone House

Marybeth and I (Tom Herod) wanted our own piece of land to preserve and found a historic farm property that had fallen prey to the rampant housing development of Northern Virginia.  In 2006 the 30 acre old farmstead was sliced from the original 101 acres, the reminder being developed as 20 high-end home sites.  Loudoun County, VA has been recognizd as one of the wealthiest and fastest growing counties in America, convenient (somewhat) for commuters to Washington DC. Yet our hopes and dreams for a rapid renovation assuring dramatic equity growth have beed dashed by the lethargic housing market recovery. Should we stay and swallow the negative equity or leave for more affordable environs? It's been painful.
