    Hothlanta Photoshoot

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     A winter storm that dumped several inches of snow on 'Hotlanta' prompted Star Wars fans on social media sites to dub the city 'Hothlanta' after the snowy planet featured in Empire Strikes Back. 'I'm just a big geek, I go to Dragon*Con every year,' said Lukifurcub. 'When I saw the hashtag for Hothlanta, I thought "wow, that would be so awesome."'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

The large snow storm that hit Atlanta today has been dubbed Hothlanta. There was the major ice battle on the Planet of Hoth in Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, and Atlanta has the really bad nickname of 'Hotlanta' that most that live here despise.

Once I saw the Hothlanta hashtag on twitter this morning when I woke up, I immediately thought about doing this. It just helps that my boyfriend is a major Star Wars collector, so we had all the toys so that we could create a very full scene of some of the Battle of Hoth. I've been really surprized by how far these pictures have gone. I received a mention in the Creative Loafing blog today as well as the pictures being retweeted as far away as California and all over Tumblr.  It was just something we did to have fun and pass the time. Besides who when they were 13 didn't see the really cool sets they used for toy commercials and wanted to have them for themselves. A link to a more complete set if anybody would like to see them is available on twitter at www.twitter.com/lukifurcub.
