Cyclone Yasi |
Flooding in Ipswich Queensland
The Bremer River was at 13 metres with flood height measured under the bridge (third photo) and it could be seen slowly rising. The high water has closed many roads across the city of Ipswich, about 30km southwest of Brisbane Australia. These images were taken betweeen 4pm and 5pm.
The fist 5 images were taken along the Bremer River in the city centre of Ipswich, the other are of roads along the river in the west of the city. The rain fell thoughout most of the day adding to the frustration caused by the road closures to people trying to get wherever theyre going.
