Wouldn't you love to have a sauna in your home?  Well, you may be surprised to learn that the "Modern Mayans" in  Guatemala are way ahead of you on that one! Yes, I'm talking about the  ones scattered throughout Guatemala's rural landscapes, having descended  from the ancient Maya people. And, yes, they do continue to live very  traditional lives in many ways. Yet, despite living in very remote  countryside locations, far removed from many so-called American-style  modern "luxuries," the Mayans in Guatemala have made "spa time" in the sauna a very high priority -- just as the Mayans preceding them did for  centuries as well. The fact is that home spas, or steam saunas, are  actually built in to EVERY Mayan home!
