    Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, is located on the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich.  The city is rich in history and was one of the centers of the Protestant Reformation and there are many beautiful churches throughout the city.


    1) Floating candles in a chapel provide a nice twist on a very old tradition.


    2) Inside a Catholic Church in Zurich.


    3) The well known Swiss flag hangs over the streets of Zurich


    4) Lake Zurich hosts many marinas.


    5) Besides being known for their clocks, the Swiss are also famous for their chocolate, and with good reason.


    6) Inside a chapel underneath a church there is a quite room for prayer and reflection


    7) The stained glass windows inside the many churches are stunning.


    8) Zwingli was one of the leaders of the Reformation in Zurich.


    9) Zurich is home to many famous authors, Gottfried Keller being among them.


    10) Zurich is also home to one of the largest clock faces in Europe.  This is at the St. Peters church and is 8.7 meters in diameter.
