Big Mike, Sing Sing, KC, and Mr, Jones of Ahmir decided they wanted to record a song that would bring hope. In addition, they wanted to send a strong message to the youth that guns and violence are not the answer.

They reached to a singer, Sam Tsui, and a director, filmmaker Kurt Schneider, to collaborate with for the video.Together they chose to record "Imagine" written many years ago by John Lennon.

When asked why they chose this song Mr. Jones of Ahmir said, "It was a terrible tragedy and our prayers are with the families, victims, and Congresswoman Giffords. We felt this song embodies the hope that we can be a better country and grow stronger from this horrific act of violence.".
