This iReport is part of an assignment:
Nancy Grace: America's Missing |
Longest Missing Child in Missouri
Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Gill disappeared from Cape Girardeau, MO at age 2 1/2 in 1965. August 2010 the FBI formally declared her case a kidnapping.Although no answers have been found the FBI is still interviewing and working on active leads. Currently there have been a total of 7 women looking for their families who have had DNA compared to the Gill family. While there are data bases to find information on missing children the search features are very difficult to use. Most are arranged by name and make it tedious to seach by date missing or age. There needs to be a site that adults who are searching for their families can be matched with those families searching for missing children. Martha Gill Hamilton sister of Elizabeth (Beth) Gill said the family has had contacts with several women searching and found how difficult cross searching is. "This is something that can be changed that would lead to more reunions" said Hamilton. For now the Gill Family continues to search and hope and try to help others in their searching. Please google "Elizabeth Gill missing Cape Girardeau" for pages of detailed information. Submitted by Martha Gill Hamilton, Beth's sister.
