    I would just like to say.....it is a hard job to provide good nutritious lunches for children today.  If the parents would like to pay 5-6-7 dollars a day for their child to eat lunch better choices could be available. 

     

    I work for a school system's child nutrition department and see how hard it is to make purchases at a reassonable price. 

     

    I would just like to know how many of you out there spend $2.00 a day and get such fantastic lunches that you say the school does not provide.

     

    Give the school reasonable meals that you think can be made for  2-3 dollars a day per student.  Then times that

    by the number of students in your area...and consider the time and labor that it costs to make these meals.......
