    It is possible!

    We are a small public school in the Adirondacks of NY. We cook completely from scratch, make our own bread, have a large garden, do NOT serve flavored milk and operate within our budget.  I believe strongly that it is possible to feed our children well on a larger basis, but you have to overcome the fear and train cafeteria people properly, from the top down! Many schools do not have the proper equipment. Change is hard! Parents need to not only demand, but help where they can. Small steps are how we got where we are. I  believe and work hard every day as do my unbelievably fantastic workers!
