Did Congress do enough? |
Of course not!
Congress never seems to do enough. It would be refreshing if congressmen and women were required to work a 40 hour work week (or more) and get the two weeks of vacation most of the rest of America gets. Maybe if they did that we would at least feel like they were TRYING to do what they are elected for.
What I really find interesting (or maybe even disturbing) is that we went into Iraq and overthrew the existing government and then proceeded to install a new government that looks an awful lot like Britian's government to me (minus the Queen of course :) ). Our system of government is so ineffective, inefficient, broken (pick your adjective of choice) that we did not encourage its adoption by Iraq.
