    Car sales: What's driving you?

    I got Smart!

After driving my old car for the last 10 years and watching as the price of

gas kept climbing, I put in for a Smart Car last year.

Now that is has arrived, I have seen my costs in gas drop!   I looked

at the 38-40MPG listed for the car thinking that should help, but what I have

been getting makes me shout out with joy.  I figured I would get as much

of the "fun" things as I could on this small car; after all, I have

always wanted a convertible. I figured the soft-top would lower my fuel efficiency

a bit, but it would be worth it for the fun…

I am not sure what other drivers have found; but what I have found, is that with the top

down and the wind blowing, I do not have to rely on the AC to keep me cooled

off in the heat of the summer here.  What

I have found from driving the Smart this last month is that I get nearly 60mpg

on the darn thing (when I am not running the AC), and I have spent only $60 to

fuel it for the whole month!.. (gas here is been around $4.03-4.18).  I have put over 900 miles on it and have

    loved every mile!
