    Supermarket in Zamalek, Cairo

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     expatme says she had a harrowing experience getting out of Cairo on Monday. It took two hours to get to the airport, and there was a traffic jam as military vehicles blocked the roads. She ended up having to walk into the terminal with her bags: 'There were just people absolutely everywhere.' She was prepared with food and blankets and goods, just in case, although shops were open. After a two-hour wait to take off, she finally was on her way to Amsterdam. These images show the scene at the supermarket as people grabbed what supplies they could.
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

I went to the supermarket and found everyone panic buying, tho the next day they had supplied most things.

The "supermarket boys" who do the home delivery were helping as usual, in a cheerful mood and singing.

One little corner shop was asking for 10LE for a can of cocacola instead of the usual 2LE.
