    More from huntermoore

    Cairo this past week

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     huntermoore, an American teacher in Cairo who is certified in CPR and first-aid, said Wednesday, 'it's really, really violent out there.' He has been working with doctors and other volunteers to provide medical aid to injured protesters outside Tahrir Square. 'All the medics and the doctors, they just don't want to see people killing one another.' He shot these photos last Friday and earlier this week.
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

These are photos from this past week. The tear gas and water cannon photos were taken on Friday. From what I saw, the violence was initiated by the police. The army has been great in keeping the peace since the police have left. Since then the protests have been largely peaceful. I don't know if the internet will go back out, but if not I will try to upload the rest of my photos and video in the next day or two.
