Politburo Pelosi
There comes a time when you have to put your foot down, get off the couch and do something. After thinking about it, I realize that We The People, as individuals have the power to make a difference in this country. Collectively we liberated ourselves from tyranny over 200 years ago and frankly it's time we did it again. Nancy Pelosi has turned the lights off in Washington - literally - and gone on vacation for over a month without voting on any substantive energy bill that will help extricate us from the bondage of foreign oil. http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0808/House_Dems_turn_out_out_the_light_but_GOP_keep_talking.html#comments As in the past the liberal democrats have blocked any bill from passing that would help reduce our energy dependencies in the name of protecting our ecology and coast lines by drilling for oil or constructing new nuclear power plants. They will do anything to stall a vote that goes against their constituency's collective grain. They instill fear into the public by painting graphic pictures of oil covered birds, ruined ecological systems and nuclear meltdowns stirring support among their liberal minions bobbing their heads up and down in agreement shouting "yeah, you go girl"! I'm sorry, in the past 40 years there have been no ecological disasters on the scale that play out in their minds and no subway tunnels have been created between here and China due to nuclear meltdowns. And, there never will! We have a serious problem and it IS our problem. The representatives we voted in are not doing their job! And they are not doing what We want them to do. Energy prices are soaring, millions are losing their homes, jobs are being lost, financial institutions are imploding and the financial talking heads claim we are in the worst shape since the Great Depression. C'mom! Give me a break. This is reality folks! Get your heads out of the sand. They are counting on us NOT doing anything, ‘cause that's what we do. We are a complacent, reactionary country. We wait to pay the gas and water bill 15 minutes before they come to shut it off. Do YOU really want to remain complacent while these jokers run us into the ground? I'm not. Time to be pro-active! I called Pelosi's office and gave them an earful. I think I scared the guy who answered the phone. He answered it which such contempt and arrogance it pissed me off. Hey you work for me, so get off it! You need to call Pelosi's office and record a message about your displeasure about leaving without passing an energy bill. Pelosi's # is 202 225-0100. It will take one minute of your time! Collectively, We do make a difference. How do you think these guys got there? With our collective votes! Believe it or not they pay attention to these phone calls when they come in by the thousands. One phone call - eh, a guy with a beef. But thousands - they sit up and take notice. So make the phone call!!! You think your life is going pretty well. Got a comfortable home, a job, nice car, family and all is right with the world. We live exactly where our government wants us to - caught in their numbing mind-meld making us believe everything is right with the world and under control. They send checks and say, "Here, go spend this and make your self feel better. The economy will turn around. Don't worry about a thing, we're taking care of you". (I think they call this socialism) WAKE UP! Things are not alright. We are being sold out to every foreign country in the world because we can no longer support ourselves without their help. They sell us oil, finance our national debt and buy assets we can't pay for. WAKE UP! MAKE THE CALL! We need to become energy independent! We need to drill, drill, drill. We need solar, nuclear, natural gas, wind, hydrogen and bio fuel energies generating the power we need to become self sufficient. It can happen in 5-10 years if we pressure our government now. If Washington stalls any longer we're toast. If you are satisfied with what the people you hired are doing in Washington and you'd rather believe everything is OK, then ignore my rant and delete it from your in box. Do nothing. If you want to start making a difference then MAKE THE CALL and pass this letter on to everyone you know and let's take our country back! They work for US, so tell them what you want!
