    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     'Festivities are taking place all over the Far East in celebration of Chinese Lunar New Year,' said nealmoore. 'The Taipei Songshan Tsuhui Temple is a popular Buddhist temple located in the hills just above Taipei City. I wanted to attempt to capture the essence of the celebratory mood, of the positive aspects and outlook of the economy in Asia.'

    New Year’s Prayers

    TAIPEI, Taiwan (CNN iReport) --- It’s hard not to get caught up in the celebrations surrounding Chinese New Year. For many Chinese, both young and old, it’s a time for a visit to the local Buddhist temple. Tina Kuo, spokesperson for the Taipei Songshan Tsuhui Temple, was kind enough to give me a tour.
