This iReport is part of an assignment:
The Situation Room: Your political resolutions |
Science Cheerleader wants candidates to RSVP
There's not much, as President, either candidate can do to fix the economy. Yet most election discussions focus on the economy. The President can, however, have a huge impact on things like the near and long-term future of our Food, Water, Environment, Global Competitiveness, etc--yet the candidates (and the press) want to brush aside anything "science sounding" and bifurcate them from election coverage. Lots of people care about these issues and want to hear how the candidates would work with scientists, policy makers and the public to ensure these issues are priorities on next President's agenda.
Thank you for the opportunity to share this.
