Getting a Verizon iPhone? |
Why I'm waiting to get a new iPhone
Much as I want a new iPhone, I am opting to wait. I currently have an iPhone 3g that has been, shall we say, well used.
I was all set to be a defector from AT&T to Verizon, until I found out that with the new Verizon iPhone 4, you can not get voice & data simultaneously! While this does not seem to be an issue to most people, it is for me.
An example? While traveling, you are talking on the phone with a person you are supposed to rendezvous with, but need to look up the address or get more information. On my current phone, I can maintain the call while surfing the web to get whatever information I need.
No, this isn't something that I do all the time, but there are times when it is necessary. Why would I ever want to give up a service that I currently have?
Typically, Apple introduces their new iPhone in June or July each year. In my humble opinion, the best bet is to just sit back and wait for the next generation of iPhone to be released. Better yet, wait for it to be released and all the bugs to be ironed out before jumping in with a new one!
