Claiming Cairo / Midan Tahrir - February 12th, 2011
The protesters are claiming their space by cleaning up Midan Tahrir. If you've even been to Cairo before you would have noticed how dirty the streets are, every single person litters. There are also hardly any public trash cans. But in midst of the crowds that gathered yesterday evening, Egyptians in their 20s were sweeping the streets and repainting the Square. There were trash bags taped to the railings all around Tahrir as well. It's never been this clean.
