    I LOVE MY BRAVES

I grew up an Atlanta Braves Fan, since I grew up in South Carolina, the only professional baseball team close enough for us to see was the Braves.  So, naturally we all loved the Braves, even back in the seventies and eighties when they pretty much sucked.

Then along came CABLE and TBS, suddenly the Atlanta Braves came right into our living room (and our bedroom on nights when the Braves played out West)  My little brother and I would watch the Braves late at night with the little black and white TV under the covers without sound.  My Mom would "try" and catch us, but she knew we were diehards and were going to watch anyway, even at the risk of her wrath.

I moved up to Michigan and haven't been to a Braves game since 2004 (hence the pictures of myself and my wife at a Braves game against the cursed Mets)  But, I will never forget the voice of Skip Caray calling the games on TBS.  Some nights my brother and I would turn up the volume just enough to hear the game, and there would be Skip.  Those were the days of my greatest memories with my little brother and I sharing those games.  I was in college and he was barely in elementary school, but it was something we could share.  You never forget those days.  Thanks Skip.
