This iReport is part of an assignment:
50 years of the Peace Corps |
Worldview Magazine
The National Peace Corps Association focuses on current and returned volunteers and discusses the issues, showcases the successes, and supports the networking of the people in the Peace Corps who strive to be the best that they can be as cultural ambassadors and helping hands in 77 countries worldwide. This month it featured an article I wrote about the International Cooking with English class I held in the Moldavian countryside of Romania. It was a great way to share one of the highlights of my service with others far away. To read the rest of the issue and learn about what Peace Corps is doing to promote advocacy for the organization now poised to celebrate its 50th year go to www.peacecorpsconnect.org/news/worldview-magazine.
"Worldview magazine is a 24-year-old quarterly magazine of news and commentary about the Peace Corps world, the only magazine dedicated to bringing the events and people of the less-developed places in this world to U.S. readers. In each issue, the editors provide a Peace Corps perspective to global issues by featuring articles by and about Peace Corps Volunteers, Returned Peace Corps volunteers and people who share the global values of the Peace Corps experience."
