Cody's Big Bio-fuel Adventure |
The Bourbon Trail.... Cody's Gotta Go!
Not sure if KY is on Cody's schedule - but how can you drive across America without swinging through the American Whiskey Trail - AKA the Bourbon Trail...
There are 9 distilleries in total and they are really amazing and free to visit to learn about Bourbon - and the fact that its America's Native Spirit - declared by Congress! ...It's your duty!
More importantly, Maker's Mark, out in Loretto KY - has some environmental secrets up its sleeve - they've spent years developing innovative technology to save energy, and that's exactly what they've done. The distillery which is a historic national landmark, is also an arboretum and has reduced air emmisions so successfully they are no longer required to have an air permit.
Last but not least - Cody's been penny pinching, and this free tour, free tasting and delicious southern lunch at thier little restored toll house for under $10.00 (talk about a bourbon pulled pork sandwich)... will not break his piggy bank!
