This iReport is part of an assignment:
Nancy Grace: America's Missing
Logan Bowman 5ys old
I really dont know where to start. This is Logan Bowman and he was just 5 when he went missing. That was in January of 2003. My brother, Wayne Bowman, is his father. My brother loved his son very much. The last time he saw him was on Christmas Day of 2002 when he took him home to his mother Cynthia "Cindy" Davis. My brother only had weekend and holiday visitations. He did go to court for custody when him and Cindy split up but of coarse the judge didnt give it to him. So the following weekend he went back to get him and Cindy came to the door said he was sick and didnt think he needed to go anywhere. Then he goes back the following weekend and no one answer the door. Again he goes back the next weekend and again no one answered. So he goes back the same day, has his older son stand at the back door while he knock on the front. Still no one answered. He calls Cindy and leaves her a message that if he didnt get Logan he was going to the police. After he gets home later that day there was a message on his answering machine asking Wayne to bring Logan home from Cindy. Wayne calls Cindy to find out whats going on. Cindy told Wayne that her boyfriend Dennis told her that Wayne had Logan. She went to the police to file a missing persons report. Grayson County Sherriffs Office took over. Her and her boyfriend were into drugs. So the story goes that Logan got up in the middle of the night one night and had gotten sick and decided to take a bath. So he turns on the hot water and scalds his bottom. Cindy stated that her boyfriend Dennis left and took him somewhere and Dennis stated that left and took him somewhere. Both denied having anything to do with his dissapperance ???? Both were charged with his murder even though we had no body. She pleaded the alford plea and got 14 years and his were dropped. During the trial we found out that the school had notified Social Services several times suspecting abuse. She had been on her computer looking up websites about selling the poor boy. Still to this day we know NOTHING. We dont know if he is dead or out there somewhere not knowing who he really is. The system failed this poor little boy. The sherriffs dept is a joke. They got a new sherriff a couple of years ago and he promised my brother he was going to find the answers. So far nothing has been done. I cant tell you how many times I can remember him running and jumping into his dads lap and telling him he loved him or the times Wayne would tell him it was time to take him home and he would beg to stay. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think about him. I cant even imagine the HELL that my brother goes through. He was such a sweet little boy.
