    Where's the trusted journalism?

It's time to hold your feet to the fire, CNN.

Don't try to wiggle out of it, just take the heat and let it refine your approach and polish your lackluster perspective.

In the past several months, we've seen a plethora of presentations providing information, sources and evidence (yes, evidence) that the Bush administration deliberately led this nation into a war based on a series of lies, concocted propaganda and manipulation of both the media and Congress.

Despite the shoddy reporting, failure to follow up on serious allegations and a virtual cesspool of serious sources available, CNN and other mainstream media have failed to simply get to the truth.

    So, here's a suggestion:

Bring your bulldog, Anderson Cooper and line up the guests for a series of shows. Start with Pulitzer prize winner Ron Suskind and bring on Vincent Bugliosi with him. Invite a number of their sources as well. Also invite whatever White House mouthpiece you can get to come on. And have it out. The facts, CNN, just the facts.

Then find Scott McClellan. Get him and a couple of Senate Intelligence Committee members (preferably the most fired-up guys) and pore over the report that no one in the media seems to care about anymore. Invite the White House folks and the patsies in Congress.

Then move to Dennis Kucinich, Nancy Pelosi and John Conyers. Get down and dirty and get Pelosi and Conyers to admit they are protecting Bush and Cheney for the sake of politics ... and have been doing so for a couple of years. Meanwhile, give some airtime to Kucinich's longtime efforts that have flown under the radar while you guys were letting the Pentagon shape and mold the lies America still believes.

Then grab some of those old Pentagon protagonists and invite some of the folks you guys hate to allow airtime, like David Ray Griffin and others of his credibility and ilk. Let them debate the Pentagon pundits while moderating the discussion.

Or just let me produce a series of shows, folks. I will get the eyes of America watching you guys. I will get the media talking about your network. And I will help you awaken the masses.

Did you guys ever think to invite Zbigniew Brzezinski on the air and discuss his testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from Feb. 1, 2007?

Whatever happened to Francis Fragos Townsend and her mandate from the president to produce a report on his desk in the summer of last year persuant to her position as National Continuity Coordinator? What the heck is a NCC? Can we ask the guys who want to be the next Commander in Chief? Well, whatever it is, it caused Townsend to resign before she served a full year in that capacity. Why?

We can never know because the media is asleep.

In conclusion, you guys can do better. You guys can provide truth to the masses. You guys know about the groundswell of information out there.

When there has to be a full-fledged demonstration to get your attention, there is nothing more telling about the failure of mainstream journalists to do their job than the efforts needed for one sliver of truth to penetrate the facade of falsehoods forced upon the masses daily by a lazy and out-of-touch media.

It's time, CNN. Stop pretending the government's version of everything is Gospel. The reputation of our industry is at stake.
