    Credit Card Crisis!!!

Over $50,000 charged on a newly opened credit card of a family member, while four card numbers of mine recently were "stolen" and used by thieves, leaving me very fearful of credit cards. Over the last few months credit card fraud has been ramped! Please check your statements carefully for charges that are not yours and for high rises in the interest rate you are being charged. Some of my long-time "low interest rate" cards are now charging over 20% for no justifiable reason. Here are some suggestions that may help. 1) You can call any credit card company and go back at least a year to have charges removed that are not yours. 2) You can also request a lower rate at any time. *3) My credit score was damaged. To check yours go to www.myfico.com at least quarterly to protect yourself. This site will also advise you on how to raise your score back up, given your particular situation.* Good luck and pay cash as much as possible! My guess is that given the banks desperate financial positions, this problem will get worse before it gets better.
