    New Zealand Earthquake Death Toll Rises

    The death toll from the New Zealand Earthquake on Tuesday has risen to 146.

     

    Christchurch was hit by a magnitude 6.3 Earthquake on February 22, 2011

     

    Nobody has been rescued alive since Wednesday.  Hundreds of people remain unaccounted for.

     

    One third of the city has to be demolished as it is too unsafe and could collapse at any time.
