    Red & Black Day For Christchurch - 4th March 2011

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Aaron1XXNZ works at radio station 1XX in Whakatane, New Zealand, and shot photos Friday, March 4, of the station crew along with locals and business operators wearing red and black in downtown Whakatane. He said the whole country was encouraged to wear red and black 'to simply show support to the people of Christchurch following the earthquake.'

    These are photos of people in the town of Whakatane, in the Bay Of Plenty region - New Zealand's Sunshine Capital - including the team at Radio 1XX wearing RED AND BLACK on Friday 4th March 2011 in support of the people of Christchurch and Canterbury after the 6.3 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday 22nd February 2011. Red & Black are the colours of Canterbury (each region of NZ have their own set of colours that identify them - Bay Of Plenty colours are blue and yellow).
