The fantastic sky - in HD.

I am deeply fascinated by the natural beauty of the sky.

From the nearest and smallest snow crystals, the atmospheric light phenomena, to the gorgeous objects in the univers.

In august 2010 I witnessed and photographed a spectacular aurora show, after a solar storm.

The phenomenon is rare in Denmark (Southern Scandinavia), actually the northern light was shining from 100-300 km. altitude above Norway, the distance was about 800 km., with clear skies from Norway to me in Denmark.

I shared the footage with you people on CNN iReport, and the iReport is now nominated for the first CNN iReport Award.

I think that everyone deserves to see aurora, for real, at least once in their life. It really is the most spectacular and awesome light phenomenon nature throw at you.
