An iReport from the city of Moers, Germany, Saturday 5th of March between 3PM and 5PM,

Temperature around 8°C or 46°F, light wind and an overcasted sky.

Now in Germany the so called fifth season of the year, Karneval- Fasching- Fastnacht, is

in full swing to reach the climax with carnival parades im many parts of Germany.

Brassbands and drumbands are filling up the gaps between the floats pulled by tractors

and accompanied by thousends of chanting, dancing and laughing folks.

Most of the people are funny and colorful disguised and the beer flows freely.

From the floats tons of candies are thrown into the crowds and the kids try to catch as much

as they can, they really love it a lot.

After the parade is thru the streets are really messed up with empty cans and boddles, paper

and plastic trash. A bunch of garbage trucks following the parade cleaning up the streets.

After the parade is dissolved the people are flooding bars and pups to celebrate until

    dawn.
