This iReport is part of an assignment:
    What's next for Libya?

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     mahabba was strolling near Victoria Square when she noticed murals being painted on certain walls. 'This is a new site here in Maadi and really lovely in my opinion. This type of mural was more simple and made bold statements...putting the cross and crescent together as they did. I've no idea who was bold enough to paint that, but felt a stroke of hope in that it might reflect the sentiments of a young generation ready to be more tolerant of other religions and people. The murals and writing that I photographed celebrated what is to come, and speaks of faith and hope for change.'

I don't really want to share a story presently, but felt these sentiments most likely reflect the thoughts of Egypt's younger generation. Cairo seems to be 'blossoming' before our eyes . . streets being painted and cleaned; colorful and brilliant murals being painted on old walls, etc. I was amazed to see these things painted on a  wall in a prominent part of Maadi, Cairo.

I felt it was very positive.
