    Mr Bear takes a bath in my deck fountain

    Last evening, 7PM, I heard something on my deck. Since we are frequently visited by bears I grabbed my video camera in hopes of catching a bear playing on my deck. I did! Mr bear, a young 2 year old black bear, had climbed into my whisky barrel fountain and was taking a playful bath and I captured it on video.

     

    In Mammoth Lakes we love our bears and try to live in harmony with them. We go to great lengths to keep them from human food, "A fed bear is a dead bear", and when they get to close to homes we chase the off. After taking a few pictures of course.
