Recovery in Japan: After the earthquake |
Tokyo at Hotel Sunroute Ariake
- elchueco, CNN iReport producer
My hotel is in Disneyland area. Sending photos and video taken outside my hotel. It's almost 6:30 local time and we're still getting minor aftershocks, but we hope the worse is over. I was in my room when it happened, at first I thought, "wow, that wind is blowing hard outside." But when I felt the doors rattling and the room started to sway I quickly realized, EARTHQUAKE!!! The main part only lasted maybe 60-80 seconds, but it felt like 10 minutes. We had to evacuate and stood outside for maybe 40 minutes then sat inside for another 2 hours maybe. Then let people start using the stairs. Had to climb 8 flights of stairs to my room. We all hope the worse is over and everyone is safe.
