wisconsin protests; pause for peaceful celebration

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jshel135 wanted to practice with her new camera. 'I'm captivated with the politics and raw emotion. My mom is a teacher and my dad is a firefighter. I remember him protesting when I was little. So I understand the background but am trying to remain neutral as possible. It was surreal to go to the capitol and see only a handful of protesters compared to the hundred of thousands only a day before. It was as though it was the calm after the storm. The children shared such joy and life on the grounds that had recently held protesters; their ability to be naïve that anything was different in their state reminded others to take a deep breath and pause. It was beautiful to see a breath of fresh air and celebration in the area, you couldn't help but smile. The capitol held Irish infused guests and talented bagpipe players. It was simply beautiful.

the wisconsin protestors pause to celebrate the upcoming holiday of the irish: st. patty's day. a parade along with a bagpipe ceremony lifted the spirits of those who gathered.

it was surreal to see the capitol with thousands absent from the protests, what a beautiful way to continue the peaceful protesting with the few who gathered both in celebration and to prove a point.
