As some continue to “detox” from award show mania and others rock it out at South by Southwest (SXSW), the annual music festival in Austin Texas. Something magical has been happening at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills…
PaleyFest, an annual event that engenders quite a buzz around how television impacts and influences life beyond the “idiot box” is a place where pop culture heavy weights come to discuss the phenomenon they have created. This panel style series starts where the Red Carpet ends and offers intellectual insight and a heapin’ portion of star power as well.
This year marks the twenty-eighth anniversary of the festival and it is a celebration in the truest sense of the word. What makes the event so unique is not only it’s perspective and ability to focus on the influence and influencers of the moment, but the fact that it gives fans and industry insiders alike the opportunity to peek behind the veil of secrecy to get a better understanding of why pop culture drives television and why television drives pop culture.
So how could you have a PaleyFest and not include the cast and crew of GLEE? You couldn’t and they didn’t! Full of intriguing spoilers and fun factoids the evening was a GLEEKS dream come true…
