Georgia-Russia conflict |
Images from Tbilisi April 2008
Photos I took on a trip to Tbilisi in April. These images were taken before the current conflict. Displayed are the Parliament building, City Hall, various churches, monuments, and homes.
Tbilisi is a modern city, and as I understand it, has undergone significant renovation in recent years. Georgian food is amazing and distinct from anything I have had before. There are numerous dumplings, cheese breads, and stews all of which are incredible.
The Old Town area in Tbilisi contains beautiful old churches, restaurants, art galleries and has a beautiful view of the river that runs through the city.
Most of all, the Georgian people were outgoing and friendly.
