John Edwards admits to extramarital affair

    More from kardolfin

    Disappointing...but...

It is disappointing to hear that Edwards had an affair, but it's not the end of the world. He isn't the first person to do it and I'm sure he won't be the last. It is just a big deal because he was in the presidential race and that it is obviously a negative thing.

But, hello...look at Bill Clinton. It's like people forgot about him all of the sudden. He had an affair IN OFFICE. Edwards said his affair happened in 2006 and his family knew about it then. Clinton's affair hasn't stopped him. He may not be running for political office but you definitely hear about him all the time...but that could be because of Hillary...and that he doesn't know when to stop talking.

People make mistakes. Mistakes don't make them bad people. As long as they make the efforts to correct their mistakes and change their actions, then they are on the right track.

People say this will destroy Edwards. Maybe it will. But I don't think so. He said he was not planning on running for political office again...so, what does it matter then? I'm sure he is well off enough to not have to work anymore.

So, I am disappointed in Edwards, but I don't think he is a bad person and I don't think it will destroy him.
