Flashmob Pillow Fight
- nsaidi, CNN iReport producer
Flashmob is known as non-commercial, spontaneous people assembly in public places to perform unusual or seemingly pointless act solely for the purpose of entertainment or satire. These events are very popular in many large cities of the world and are organized via telecommunications, social media and viral emails. To welcome the start of spring, Berlin held a flashmob pillow fight at the historic Brandenburg Gate. Hundreds of young participants turned the famous landmark into a feathered killing field where victims were literally massacred by aggressive pillow throwers and bashers. As quickly as it started, the action ended soon threreafter. The mostly under 30 crowd dispersed after about an hour, leaving the Brandenburg Gate with a snow-like covering under the glow of the setting sun.
