- dsashin, CNN iReport producer
Interviews with Gaston Dominguez, who hosted the We Heart Japan charity fund raiser event in Hollywood, and Stephanie Sheh, anime voice actress (Bleach, FLCL, Naruto) and founder of the event, about rallying fans and members of the anime industry to give on behalf of the victims of the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The lineup of actor appearances included Crispin Freeman (Hellsing), Wendee Lee (Cowboy Bebop), Yuri Lowenthal (Gurren Lagann), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Ghost in the Shell), Tony Oliver (Robotech), and Travis Willingham (Full Metal Alchemist).
All proceeds from the event went toward the Japan NGO Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund, operated by the Japan Center for International Exchange.
