    August 8, 2008

It was amazing to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, but it was also curiously fascinating to watch (and read) a fireworks of postings on Twitter.

If you're not familiar with Twitter, it's a micro-blogging platform that allows users around the world to share very short messages with others.

I often eavesdrop on a site called Twitscoop that gathers posts based on topics or keywords so you can get a global feel for stuff you're interested in. They include a cool graph that shows topics as they rise and fall in interest over the past 6 hours, 1 day or 3 days.
