    School's in....

The student population has almost doubled this year. Many of these students are the first ones in their families to enter university...

Due to investment in the Chilean economy, the engineering profession is one of the most popular academic areas of study.

Within the profession of engineering there are specializations such as mining, civil, industrial, chemical and commercial.

This latter one translates into English as “business administration.”

With this, Chileans can run and supervise North American companies and affiliates...

So, the need to be fluent in English in Chile is ever increasing...

Only about 5 percent of public high school graduates have good levels of English...

Beginning this year English classes will be compulsory for engineering students, and next year this requirement will be applied to all departments...

English is not an option any more!

It is worth noting the government of Chile has set a goal for the country to be functionally bilingual by the end of this decade...

    Welcome back to school!
