    Polar Bear Knut Is Dead

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     markpel shot these photos of tributes to the famous polar bear Knut, who died suddenly in Berlin, Germany.

    Worldwide known polar bear Knut (2006-2011) died suddenly at The Berlin Zoological Garden on March 19th 2011.

     

    He was born in captivity at The Berlin Zoological Garden  and was raised mainly by zookeeper Thomas Dörflein (1963-2008).

     

    Knut became a tourist attracion and also commercial success.
