    A Day of Pampering - 2011

The Rally Foundation's mission is to help find a cure for childhood cancer. This is my second year photographing Fashion Funds the Cure for the Rally Foundation. A Day of Pampering is the pre-event where kids fighting cancer and their moms have a special day together to get their hair, nails, makeup and clothes organized for the Fashion Funds the Cure show. They will be showing new fashions along with professional models. This year the big event is Thursday, April 14 at Bloomingdales in Lenox Mall. Curtis Lofton of the Atlanta Falcons will be chairing the event again this year and he will be joined by numerous of his pro-football friends.

I'll be there to photograph these brave soldiers in the war against childhood cancer. Most will survive. Some sadly will not. I learned today that Iliss, one of the girls from last year's show, recently passed after a difficult battle with brain cancer. Iliss's mom told Dean Crowe of the Rally Foundation "the Day of Pampering made Illis feel beautiful for the first time in a long, long time."

Check out the 90+ photos on my blog of the kids at this year's event.  If you have a big heart and want to join the battle against childhood cancer get your tickets to Fashion Funds the Cure from the Rally Foundation.
