Airlines take advantage of US citizens returning from Japan

Airline prices have skyrocketed since the March 11 earthquake. It is next to impossible to afford economy tickets at business and first class prices- I was quoted $10,000 to $15,000 for 2 adults and a 3 year old child! For a June 28 departure.

We can't afford to return home!

The US governments policy is to contact a travel agent and buy tickets from commercial airlines but they still provide flights out for government staff families and military personnel and their families.

Probably travel agents are doing some hoarding of their own gathering all the tickets they can which jacks up the prices.
